Sabanci University
Sabanci University was established in 1996 by the Sabanci Foundation. Sabanci University has been active in the field of entrepreneurship since its inception. In 2013, the university has established the Entrepreneurship Committee as a joint initiative of engineering, management and social sciences to take the entrepreneurship training, research, incubation and acceleration initiatives to the next level with leading global and local organizations of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. With its vision to be “a global University” and the mission of “creating and developing together", Sabanci University became “Turkey's most enterprising and innovative University” on the basis of “2012 Inter-University Entrepreneurship and Innovation Index” announced by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.
Sabanci University is a member of Enterprise Europe Network offering many services designed to provide support to Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (awareness raising, first hand market information and company contact data, business corporation database, b2b events). Since 2009, Sabancı University pursues its activities as the partner of EEN Istanbul Consortium, the world's most extensive civil network of 54 countries for developing "Technology Transfer and Commercial Cooperation". The Consortium addresses the whole Istanbul and the Thrace region as well. As of January 2013, EEN Istanbul offers all businesses and entrepreneurs, in particular SMEs, value-added interface services for business development with a cumulative budget of 2 million Euros.
