The basic points of public speaking (opening, structure, ending, delivery, secrets of storytelling, body language, audience engagement, use of humour, use of visuals, tips on slides and best of for visual communication). This workshop will enable you to identify in any talk the key points that make is a great talk and apply these key points to any given presentation you’ll deliver in the future.

Participants present their short talk to the group and receive individual feedback by the speaker coach.

16:00 - 16:30 Personal Branding - Interview with Hermione Way

A heart to heart and woman to woman chat with media personality Hermione Way, on keeping your focus and balance while living publicly, leveraging media to promote your work and fuel your career and practical tips on building your personal brand.

Maria, is the founder ofHVO Search, a specialistexecutive search and talent advisory firm working at the intersection of retail, digital and technology.With a degree in Psychology and an 11-year career in executive search, Maria is a networker and career coach at heart. She is passionate about promoting women at work and is above all a connector of people. She organises various industry events including breakfasts as well as large evening events suchDigital Storytelling Forum. She is also a Business Start Up Mentor at Virgin Start Up.Her clients are international and are established as well as startup or growth companies.

Katerina Biliouri

Katerina is a Berlin based speaker coach. She is theTEDGlobalCuration Assistant and she's also working for several events around the world. She coaches speakers for communicating their idea clearly and effectively to the public; from assisting them in drafting their talk to the final presentation and stage performance. She does executive coaching for big and small companies, bringing a more creative and innovative character to their talks both within the board meetings and the executive conferences. She is a University of Cambridge graduate.

Itxaso del Palacio

Itxaso del Palacio is the VP of Capital at Lepe Partners. As an Investment Director, she is responsible for building the portfolio of Lepe Capital: building the pipeline, performing the due diligence and executing the investments. Before Lepe, Itxaso worked as an early stage investor at EC1 Capital, responsible for deal flow across sectors.    Since 2009, Itxaso has taught Entrepreneurial Finance at UCL, Imperial College and Royal College of Arts in London. She is passionate about helping first-time entrepreneurs at universities building their businesses. Itxaso is a Kauffman Fellow and holds a BSc and MSc in Engineering as well as a PhD focused on Economics and Venture Capital.   An avid runner and a qualified spinning instructor, she is interested in the way wearables and other digital platforms are encouraging people to exercise, to be healthier and happier.
